The inaugural Mid Rivers Risk Forum (MRRF) centered on supporting the complexity of being a Risk Manager in today’s ever-changing world. To foster meaningful discussion and learning, the event featured a mix of General Sessions addressing the broader landscape of risk management and specialized breakout sessions divided into three focused tracks:

Growing Out of the Traditional Risk Transfer Market
This track guided risk managers seeking to innovate and adapt in a rapidly evolving marketplace. Participants explored emerging trends, digital transformation, and strategies that challenge conventional insurance models.

Risk Retention: The Considerations and Reward
This session track offered a comprehensive look at risk retention as an alternative to traditional insurance. Designed for risk managers, finance professionals, and business leaders, it examined the strategic advantages and potential challenges of self-insuring.

Strategies for Captive Owners
Tailored for current and prospective captive insurance professionals, this track provided in-depth insights and practical strategies to optimize captive operations. Attendees learned how to navigate the complexities of ownership, enhance financial performance, and align captives with their organization’s broader goals.

Together, these sessions equipped attendees with actionable knowledge, fresh perspectives, and innovative tools to strengthen their approach to risk management.
